Fun In The Snow
Park City has earned its reputation as a winter wonderland. And along with world-class skiing on powdery slopes, you can enjoy a range of family-friendly snow adventures as well as indoor activities for when you feel like staying warm and dry. Try snowmobiling, dogsledding and even snowbiking. We’re here to help you experience the best of Park City in the winter.
Whether you are here for the challenge of the double black diamond runs or just testing the waters on the bunny slope, Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the country, has tons of fresh powder for the beginner to the pro. The skiing and snowboarding here is world-class with two resorts just a few miles apart. The lastest edition, Woodward Park City, has lift-accessed snowboarding, skiing, and also offers snow tubing serviced by two surface lifts with the longest lanes in Utah.
One way to experience the sweeping bowls of powder and untouched mountain meadows in the winter months is to go snowmobiling. If you want to reach miles beyond other adventurers, a snowmobile might be the best option for you. This is, without a doubt, one of the most thrilling ways to enjoy Park City.
Twirl and whirl under twinkling lights while upbeat music propels skaters around the rink and onlookers sip hot cocoa around fire pits. The outdoor ice rink is open daily and provides skate rentals, for both hockey and figure skating, for people of all ages.
You don’t have to strap on skis to enjoy Park City’s unmatched winter powder. Our world-class snow is also the perfect base for some good old-fashioned tubing.
Just outside of downtown Park City, at 7,300 ft. elevation, the Utah Olympic Park still buzzes with excitement. The nearly 400-acre venue houses one of only four sliding tracks in North America, six Nordic ski jumps, a 2002 Winter Games museum, and a multitude of adventure activities.
After a day of playing in the snow, snuggle up next to the roaring fire in the hotel lobby and sip on a large cup of hot cocoa. And don’t forget to grab a delicious, warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie.
